Photographer’s Notes:

I was honored and blessed to be commissioned to document Anna and Kyle’s wedding at Longshore Lakes Country Club in Naples, Florida. Anna has known me since we were little kids thanks to our parents being dear friends. We started our time together at St. Agnes Catholic Church for the ceremony and finished at the Longshore Lakes Country Club with a sparkler exit. We lucked out as we did not run into any issues throughout the day and had perfect sunny weather along with great food, music, and an energetic guest list which are key ingredients for a memorable wedding day.

Congratulations to Kyle, Anna, and family! May your futures be bright and full of love!

Happy Viewing!

Maria

Interview with the Bride:

Maria: Why did you choose St. Agnes for your wedding ceremony?

Anna: Having our ceremony at a church was important to us. Since we became members of St. Agnes, we knew we wanted to get married there, so that was a given.

Maria: What was the reason for choosing Long Shore Lakes Country Club as your reception location?

Anna: Our  choice of the reception taking place  at Longshore Lake Country Club, was due to a combination of factors.  After numerous recommendations and hours of researching venues, we contacted a select list of venues and compared them to each other. Then we set up interviews to check out the venue and discuss what each could offer. Overall, Mark Minor, the Food and Beverage Manager at Longshore Lakes, went above and beyond the call of duty to offer many elements that we wanted. He was really flexible, helpful and eager to be a part of our special day. Because he was willing to listen to my wants and make every wish come true, we knew that Longshore Lake was the perfect reception venue. After the food tasting and meeting the extra friendly staff, the deal was sealed. In the end, he curtailed my expectations into a beautiful reception.

Maria: What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

Anna: I couldn’t pick just one favorite moment of my wedding day. It was truly such a beautiful day. It was so special before the ceremony: from getting ready with my mom, matron of honor and bridesmaids, to sitting in the limo on our way to our church with butterflies of excitement as we passed landmarks getting closer and closer.  During the beautiful ceremony, it was precious dazing into my soon-to-be husbands eyes, thinking of this new journey we were beginning together.  Then, enjoying and partying with our family and friends at the reception and having fun all under one roof- we didn’t want our wedding day to end! I treasure every moment of our wedding day.

Maria: What obstacles did you face while planning your wedding?

Anna:  The biggest obstacle of planning the wedding was the timing. As an accountant, I had to make sure that in my off season, I made as many decisions and I did as much planning as humanly possible. I was blessed to have so much help of my mom, my matron of honor, and bridesmaids! Throughout the planning phase, I was overwhelmed by the amount of decisions and small details put into our special day. But I always felt their support and they made sure I was on track.

Maria: Now that the wedding is over, is there anything you would change?

Anna: Looking back, if there was anything I would change, it would be that I would have planned on having someone videotape the ceremony. Although I overlooked this, I know that it was an amazing day that I will forever remember and cherish every moment.

Maria: Any advice towards future brides?

Anna: If I could offer any advice to future brides while they plan their wedding, I would say start off your planning by reaching out to those in the industry.  My first contact to a vendor was not just an integral part of capturing the moments of our wedding day, but a very close family friend. Maria Angela offered so much advice and expertise in the beginning. I knew what to ask, what to look for, and she gave me many contacts to other trusted vendors in the industry. Also, Maria created a timeline of the day and coordinated Max, the DJ from Black Tie, so I knew everyone was working together. Max did a wonderful job and brought life to the reception. We also rented a photo booth through Black Tie and that was so fun and the guests loved it!  I would advise brides to reach out to the vendors we chose, as I would highly recommend every one of them. I was so content and completely satisfied on their expertise. They all made me confident that I could count on their delivery.  During the planning phase, each gave great suggestions and recommendations.  I can’t emphasize enough how incredible everyone was. Lucy from Heaven Scent US, Inc. made a gorgeous cake and you could tell that all of her heart was put into that masterpiece! The wedding cake was so beautiful, it was a true work of art, and it tasted even more amazing.  Ricky from Rikardo Event Productions was more than a florist, and offered so much more. He also devoted so much time on the decor of the ceremony and reception. Not only did he setup the decor for the ceremony and reception venues, he took on many additional projects to ensure that my mom and I were not stressed. Danielle, my makeup artist, did multiple trials to ensure we had the right look. She made me feel so beautiful! Derenda helped out in a last minute bind by putting off a personal event to commit to doing my hair just a few days before the wedding! She did a fabulous job on all of our hair styles and she knew exactly the look I was looking for. Lastly, surrounding yourself with positive people can make all of the difference. I could not have accomplished it all without my mom and matron of honor. Planning truly goes by quickly and the wedding day is like a blink of an eye- so enjoy every moment.
